Student Ambassador Council

The GEAR UP Kentucky Student Ambassador Council, composed of high school seniors and first-year college students, gives voice to students preparing for and transitioning to post-high school education. The goal of the Student Ambassador Council (SAC) is to develop a road map for first-year postsecondary success based on the real-life experiences and first-hand accounts of how SAC students overcome academic, social and personal challenges on and off campus. 

SAC members are GEAR UP Kentucky Student Ambassadors that have been selected for the Council by their Student Ambassador peers during 12th grade at their high school; they continue their SAC term through their first year of college.
